Tom brings with him more than 30 years of experience across venture capital, as an operator, entrepreneurship, domain expert, and academia. He spent 17 years as a General Partner at DCM Ventures, a storied firm, where he helped scale the firm from a single office in Menlo Park to a $3.8 billion global investment platform with offices across Asia, leading investments in transformative companies including Bill.com, PayCycle, HireRight, and more. Before that, he played an instrumental role at Intuit, serving as GM of the QuickBooks division. He later led the Center for Private Equity and Entrepreneurship at Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business, elevating curriculum and programming for the next generation of investors and entrepreneurs. Through AlignPact, his current venture, Tom partners with mission-driven entrepreneurs and investors to build companies that drive both financial returns and meaningful social impact.

I’ve long admired his leadership and the way he inspires confidence across the venture capital and entrepreneurial ecosystem. Tom is a proud graduate of Stanford University, where he earned his BS in Mechanical Engineering, and Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business, where he completed his MBA.
