WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO JOIN THE ZEAL TEAM?
My journey with Zeal began during my time at Bank of America, we were an early LP of Zeal Capital Partners as part of a new investment strategy. Despite committing to over 150 venture funds, Zeal was a fund that consistently stood out for it's leadership, culture and performance. After I left the bank, I reconnected with Nasir and knew within minutes of our conversation that I wanted to be a part of Zeal - a conviction that only grew stronger when I met with the Zeal team and LP's. I was drawn to Zeal's mission and wanted to be a part of the next chapter in Zeal's growth.
WHAT EXPERIENCES DO YOU BRING TO DRIVE IMPACT AT ZEAL?
I spent over 20 years making and managing early-to-late stage investments across Fintech, infrastructure, payments, and most recently focusing on sustainable and impact focused investments. I'm excited to leverage my investing experience across Zeal's core and pre-seed strategies, and partner with passionate founders to help companies thrive - all while preparing Zeal to scale and expand our ecosystem of dedicated LP's, talented teammates and the Zeal Venture Program.
OUTSIDE OF WORK, WHAT ENERGIZES YOU?
At the risk of being cliche, my family centers me and is the center of my life outside of work. My wife and my two young daughters play such a critical role in providing perspective for me, especially when life and work gets a bit hectic. I also can't forget my dog, Butterscotch, who doesn't mind a little downtime with me when I need it. You will also find me working on my golf swing after watching online tutorials.
