At Zeal, one of our most compelling value propositions in attracting the best founders and winning competitive deals is the comprehensive support system we provide our portfolio companies. As we ensure the long-term success of a growing number of entrepreneurs, we scoured the market for a leader who could implement a sustainable post-investment framework that adds value to each portfolio company.
Today, I am pleased to announce that Zeal continues to grow and evolve with the addition of our latest hire, Susannah Burrage, who will serve as our first Head of Portfolio Management.
Susannah has an impressive track record of partnering with small businesses helping them to achieve scale and large enterprises tackle their biggest challenges. Prior to joining Zeal, Susannah served as an Engagement Manager at Innosight, a growth strategy and innovation consultancy. Her work on consumer-centric strategy and product development spans industries, including the intersections of technology, financial services, and healthcare.Susannah's passion for optimizing products, services, and business models for under-resourced communities goes back to the beginning of her career. While at the social enterprise First Book, she designed corporate partnerships to aggregate the purchasing power of underserved communities and increase the quantity and affordability of multicultural books.
At the consulting firm Community Wealth Partners, she facilitated multi-stakeholder conversations that empowered non-profit organizations, foundations, and communities to set goals and build strategies to achieve them.
Susannah holds a BA from Bowdoin College and an MBA from the Yale School of Management.
On behalf of our entire Zeal team, we are excited to welcome Susannah and look forward to supporting her work to bring out the very best in the entrepreneurs we believe will lead the charge in narrowing the wealth and skills gaps.
