About Bianca

WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO JOIN THE ZEAL TEAM?

Storytelling has always been one of my greatest strengths, and I view it as a superpower. When I learned about Zeal, I immediately recognized how the team carefully crafted their Inclusive Investing™ thesis. At Zeal, I am dedicated to leveraging my skills and experience to make a significant positive impact on the startup ecosystem. I understand the power of a well-told story to inspire, motivate, and drive action. Moreover, I am dedicated to rebuilding the fundamental building blocks of wealth creation, such as access to education, workforce opportunities, and financial literacy. Too often, these essential elements have been gatekept, perpetuating cycles of inequality. I firmly believe that diverse perspectives and inclusive environments are essential for driving innovation and fostering success. By democratizing the pathways to wealth generation, we can create a more vibrant, equitable, and prosperous startup ecosystem that benefits us all.

WHAT EXPERIENCES DO YOU BRING TO DRIVE IMPACT AT ZEAL?

With a unique background spanning finance, social entrepreneurship, and product marketing, I bring a diverse set of experiences to drive significant impact at Zeal. My role in Goldman Sachs’ Sustainable Finance Group provided me with invaluable insights into the challenges and aspirations of LMI communities, fueling my passion for supporting underrepresented founders who are over mentored and undercapitalized. Furthermore, my contributions to the successful launches of Goldman Sachs' consumer banking app, Marcus, have equipped me with expertise in communicating unique value propositions for everyday customers. Through my work at Zeal, I aim to amplify the voices of underestimated founders and ensure that their stories are heard and celebrated.

WHAT IS ONE THING MOST PEOPLE DON’T KNOW ABOUT YOU?

One thing most people don't know about me is that I was a dancer for 12 years before pursuing track in college. From a young age, I trained extensively in various styles like ballet, jazz, and contemporary. Dancing wasn't just a hobby – it was a passion that taught me discipline, artistry, and self-expression through movement. While my athletic abilities led me to track and field, those years of dance training played a crucial role in developing my strength, agility, and body awareness as an athlete. However, my dance background often gets overlooked when people learn about my track accomplishments, despite it being a significant part of my journey.

FIRST LIVE CONCERT YOU WENT TO?

Chris Brown: The Party Tour my freshman year of college. My roommate was a superfan and bought us tickets as soon as they dropped.

FAVORITE QUOTE YOU LIVE BY?

"If your dreams do not scare you, they are not big enough" is a quote by Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, the former President of Liberia from 2006 to 2018, who believes that one's dreams should be larger than their present capabilities in order to truly challenge and motivate individuals to reach greater heights.
